However, the bottleneck that has historically slowed widebody programmes — building the aircraft — appears to have shifted.

Cabin completion is a labour- and time-intensive phase that typically follows basic airframe assembly. Airlines specify interior configurations — seating density, business-class suite designs, in-flight entertainment systems — that often require bespoke installation work.
